The 2-day preliminary course to become a “PMU Certified Dermapigmentologist®” will take place on September 1 and 2 and September 22 and 23, 2025 in Dottikon.

General information about the examination process

The examinations are conducted by a neutral PMU examination board in accordance with the guidelines of the PMU examination regulations. We are strongly committed to the seal of approval that you will receive upon successful completion, giving customers the assurance that they are in the best hands.

Training: Training institutes
Our training institutes conduct the preliminary course for certified dermapigmentologists® exclusively for the association. Link to the training institutes

Requirements profile / costs for the training

  • At least 9 basic and training days are required for the examination. You can acquire these in one of our PMU training institutes
  • The costs for the basic training can be requested from the PMU training institutes.
  • The 2-day preliminary course is compulsory.
  • At least two years of professional experience is required for the examination
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology of the skin and make-up artist training are a prerequisite.
  • Regular professional practice in a professionally equipped business premises/practice.
  • Completion of the obligatory hygiene and emergency aid course in the last 2 years.
